  1. I listened to an interview with Powers on the radio. Got me thinking a lot. One of the things he said really stuck out to me:

    “The happiest people I know, who I try to model myself on, view each day as a chance to chip away a little bit more at the work in progress that is their lives, and to do so in a conscious way, to try to be a little more alive each day, a little more human each day.”

    I suppose it’s good to use connectedness, so long as it grows your soul, like you said. But if it slows the growth of our souls, we’ve probably gone too far. Which reminds me. . . I should be studying right now.
